Russia seems to be the paradise of mid-aged single men, mostly Westerners, who
are looking for taking back home, a nice and pretty housewife.
In the facts, it might be useful to know that not all girls are ready to leave their country and culture with a foreign man.
Not all girls will adapt to western food, language and habits.
Not all girls either want to depend on a man. They have ambition, just like Yankee girls, and can even be very efficient businesswomen or managers.
Since Berlin wall collapsed in 1989 and Communism lost its influence within
Eastern Europe countries, women have started wanting their revenge upon capitalist dreams. Luxury has become a goal and is no more the only privilege of former Tsars or modern oligarchy.
Russian girls love money, all that shines, excesses of wealth (car built with gold just as an exemple).
All eccentricities that show a high level in social ladder, and the way to distinguish themselves from other People.
As far as I can tell from my experience, a Russian girl won't be necessarily ready to leave her family and country just because you offer her a presumably better life in your home place. Yes, it's hard to hear, but mostly is true.

| Sure, Russian girls are used to drinking, you'd better not compete them ! |

Mentality is different, humor too.
Vicious jokes or second degree metaphores won't be enjoyed as much, in most cases.
It doesn't mean of course that Russians don't understand but sometimes it creates cultural barriers between foreign Men and local Women.
Most will laugh about silly things, what we would call in the West : Primary degree humor, or uncommon accentuated behaviours. This comes from the Socialist education, where perversion and vice had no place in society.
Actually, they do have a subtile kind of jokes. Hard to explain.
Anyway, smiling is not do common, Vodka helps !
One other thing you'd better know, too : try not criticize their country, their people, or president. They should take it as an insult, won't appreciate and mostly will counter react by criticizing your own country and people.
In one world, Russian Girls are usually proud of their government, of their natural ressources which bring wealth, of their monuments, museums, history, litterature and authors, cinema, science, etc...
By the way, remember who sent the first man and woman to the moon ?
